Morena mobilizes members nationwide to select coordinators and strengthen the Fourth Transformation

Morena officials and elected representatives have held a series of informational assemblies across Mexico, urging party militants to close ranks and support the Fourth Transformation. Events took place in towns such as Abasolo (Tamaulipas), Empalme (Sonora), Ecatepec, Fresnillo (Zacatecas), and multiple municipalities in Querétaro, where leaders like Senator Olga Sosa, Celida López, Vero Díaz and others called for unity, organized territorial work and defense of national sovereignty.

The party’s internal selection process for the Coordination of the State Committees for the Defense of the Transformation and Sovereignty limits each post to six candidates. Registrations are open, with eligibility criteria that include clean criminal records and financial transparency. Surveys and external polling firms will be used to choose the coordinators, with key dates slated for August and September in various states.

In a related development, Morena parliamentarian Ricardo Monreal announced the forthcoming publication of a book that explains Mexico’s recent water‑reform legislation and the new water laws, aiming to clarify the reforms for the public and underline the party’s policy agenda.
