Morena Yucatán chief calls AMLO “worst president” by mistake at rally

Carlos Bojórquez Urzáiz, head of Morena’s state committee in Yucatán, sparked surprise at a political rally in Tizimín when he referred to former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador as “the worst president Mexico has ever had.” He then asked the crowd to applaud the former leader, a slip that was captured on video and spread on social media.

Attendees reacted with astonishment and smiles, but no speaker corrected the comment during the event. Neither the state party leadership nor Bojórquez has issued an explanation as of now.
