Fouzi Lekjaa joins Morocco's Authenticity and Modernity Party

Budget minister and president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation Fouzi Lekjaa officially became a member of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) during the party's 32nd national council in Salé. The announcement ended weeks of speculation about his political future and placed him on the party's political bureau ahead of the legislative elections scheduled for 23 September 2026.

His entry comes as PAM prepares its candidate lists for all 92 constituencies, emphasizing the inclusion of high‑profile officials to boost its electoral chances. While Lekjaa’s affiliation with the party is now confirmed, no immediate decision has been announced regarding his continued role as head of the football federation.
