Moroccan Newspaper Publishers Federation calls for dialogue with new government
The Moroccan Federation of Newspaper Publishers held its regular executive office meeting on October 12, 2026, to discuss press sector issues and preparations for an upcoming national conference.
The Federation expressed support for the King’s appointment of Fatima Zahra Mansouri as the first female head of government, describing it as an unprecedented political event.
In its statement, the Federation urged the new administration to prioritize the challenges facing the press and publishing sector by developing a national strategic plan. The organization noted that it faced marginalization and exclusion during the previous five-year government term and called on the new government to correct these imbalances, respect its legitimate representation, and engage in a serious dialogue to rescue the national media sector.
