Morocco advances digital transformation through institutional and industry initiatives

Morocco is advancing its digital transformation through institutional modernization and industry advocacy. The ISCAE group has signed a four-party agreement with the ministries of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Industry and Commerce, and Economy and Finance. This three-year plan aims to modernize ISCAE’s information systems, optimize internal processes, and improve services for students and staff through an integrated, secure, and interoperable digital framework.

Simultaneously, the Moroccan Federation of Information Technology, Telecommunications, and Offshoring (APEBI) is calling for digital policy to become a transversal lever for national competitiveness rather than just a sectoral policy. Highlighting the 'Maroc Digital 2030' progress, APEBI noted that while infrastructure is strong, intensive digital usage among businesses remains low. Citing World Bank data, the federation emphasizes that increasing digital integration in SMEs could boost aggregate productivity by 10% to 15% and significantly increase employment and wage growth.
