Morocco and Jordan sign judicial cooperation and extradition agreement
Morocco and Jordan have signed a new judicial cooperation agreement in Rabat aimed at enhancing legal and institutional coordination between the two nations. The agreement, signed by Moroccan Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi and his Jordanian counterpart Bassam Samir Talhouni, specifically focuses on the extradition of wanted individuals.
The pact establishes a clear legal framework for handling extradition requests in accordance with the national legislations and legal obligations of both parties. Beyond extradition, the ministers discussed ways to improve judicial cooperation, exchange expertise, and strengthen the fight against crime while upholding the rule of law. This agreement serves as a continuation of previous bilateral agreements signed in Jordan.
