Morocco boosts AI and industrial competitiveness through ALTEN partnership and Made‑in‑Morocco label

The Moroccan ministries of Industry, Higher Education, and Digital Transition signed a public‑private partnership with engineering firm ALTEN Morocco to develop national expertise in artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0. The agreement outlines research on AI algorithms for predictive maintenance and digital twins, sectoral accelerators for automotive, aerospace and rail, technology platforms for testing and prototyping, and university‑based training programmes aimed at creating a skilled AI workforce, aligning with the Morocco Digital 2030 strategy.

Separately, the Moroccan company Colorado received the official “Made in Morocco” label, recognizing its compliance with multiple ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, 26000) and product certifications such as HQE and Jaouda Madmouna. The label underscores the firm’s focus on local production, quality, traceability and sustainability, and is presented as a lever to promote the country’s industrial visibility both domestically and internationally.
