Morocco celebrates National Day of Moroccans Residing Abroad

Moroccan authorities in Marrakech-Safi and Nouaceur held official meetings to commemorate the National Day of Moroccans Residing Abroad. This year’s theme, “Moroccans Residing Abroad in Service of Morocco’s 2030 Projects,” emphasizes the role of the diaspora as strategic partners in the kingdom’s national development.

In Marrakech, officials highlighted the city’s rapid development and the importance of diaspora expertise in investment, technology, and innovation. The event featured various platforms from public institutions and banks to showcase digital services and simplified administrative procedures designed to support the community. A dedicated cell was also utilized to process requests and complaints from expatriates.

In Nouaceur, officials underscored the diaspora’s human and strategic value, noting their potential to support major national projects. The region highlighted its economic advantages, including its proximity to Mohammed V International Airport and various industrial zones, as key areas for diaspora investment. To improve service quality, a specialized office has been established in Nouaceur to manage the needs and grievances of the Moroccan community.
