Morocco debuts official presence at Gamescom with 11 gaming studios
Morocco is making its first official appearance at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, showcasing an emerging national video game ecosystem. Eleven Moroccan studios are participating in a dedicated 102-square-meter national pavilion to present various projects, including action games, narrative experiences, educational titles, puzzles, and strategy games.
The delegation is led by the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication. The primary objective of this presence is to increase visibility and connect Moroccan developers with international publishers, investors, and industry professionals to foster partnerships and integrate into global value chains.
Many of the participating studios have benefited from recent national support programs. Eight studios are graduates of the Video Game Incubator, a project developed by the Ministry in partnership with the French Embassy, while three others were selected from the Morocco Gaming Expo 2026 winners. This initiative reflects a broader strategy to structure the Moroccan gaming sector and expand its reach into foreign markets.
