Morocco grants 250 scholarships to Chadian students
Morocco has increased its academic support for Chad by granting 250 scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year. This represents an increase from the previous quota of 150 scholarships. The allocation includes 200 scholarships for university and technical training and 50 for professional training.
An official ceremony was held on October 2, 2026, at the residence of the Moroccan Ambassador to Chad, Abdellatif Erroja, to welcome the first cohort of 103 students. Priority fields of study include engineering sciences, computer science, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, health sciences, and renewable energy.
To improve the management of these educational offers, a new inter-state framework called the Chad-Morocco Committee is being established. Chadian Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Sitack Yombatina Beni, encouraged the students to respect the laws and values of Morocco while preparing to contribute to Chad’s future development.
