Morocco honored as guest of honor at WISS LATAM summit in Panama

Morocco served as the guest of honor at the third edition of the Women, Innovation and Sustainability Summit (WISS LATAM), held in Panama City on August 26 and 27. Organized by the Pacific Chamber of Commerce, the summit focused on the theme “Global Trends: Technology and Business,” bringing together female leaders, entrepreneurs, and specialists from across Latin America.

The event featured a reception highlighting Moroccan culture through traditional tea and photography. Diana Maria Olaya, President of the Summit and Regional Director of International Relations for the Pacific Chamber of Commerce, praised Morocco's support for the regional summit, which aims to strengthen international cooperation and partnerships. Aurelio Barria Pino, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Panama, also expressed gratitude for Morocco's involvement.

During the summit, Morocco's Ambassador to Panama, Bouchra Boudchich, emphasized the importance of such platforms in fostering relations between Africa and Latin America. She also addressed the growing role of artificial intelligence, noting that while technological advancement is rapid, the human element remains the primary driver of change and innovation.
