Morocco partners with ALTEN to build AI and Industry 4.0 ecosystem

Morocco signed an agreement with engineering and technology consultancy ALTEN on 2 July in Rabat to develop a national ecosystem for artificial intelligence and Industry 4.0. The partnership brings together the ministries of Industry, Higher Education and Digital Transition and focuses on applied AI research projects – such as predictive maintenance, digital simulation, computer‑aided design and automated quality control – the creation of technology platforms for industrial testing, sector‑specific accelerators for automotive, aerospace and rail, and the launch of AI‑focused training programmes at Moroccan universities.

The initiative is part of the Morocco Digital 2030 and "AI Made in Morocco" strategies, which aim to add more than US$10 billion to GDP and create around 240 000 digital jobs. ALTEN, operating in the country since 2008 with over 2 200 engineers across Rabat, Casablanca, Fez and Tetouan, will leverage its expertise in automotive, aerospace, rail and telecommunications to support the programme. The firm is also recruiting senior full‑stack developers (NuxtJS, Java Spring Boot) for its Moroccan sites, highlighting the growing demand for digital talent as the AI ecosystem expands.
