Morocco police opens new security complexes in Al Hoceïma, Fès, Nador and Laâyoune
On 29 July, the Direction Générale de la Sûreté Nationale (DGSN) inaugurated a new regional security complex in Al Hoceïma as part of the 27th anniversary celebrations of the Throne Day. The eight‑thousand‑square‑metre facility includes multiple floors, a police precinct, traffic accident brigade, mobile order‑maintaining unit, a medical unit, and a permanent video‑surveillance system.
The same day marked the opening of a new headquarters for the 3rd police district in Laâyoune. The 190‑square‑metre integrated building provides offices, reception and orientation spaces, and is fully equipped with wired and wireless telecommunications, secure databases and dedicated police IT systems. Both projects are components of the DGSN’s broader programme to modernise police infrastructure in cities such as Fès and Nador, aiming to improve operational capacity, service quality for citizens and working conditions for police personnel.
