Morocco has launched its official campaign for the legislative elections scheduled for September 23, 2026. According to the Ministry of Interior, 1,850 candidacy lists have been submitted, featuring a total of 7,288 candidates competing for the 395 seats in the House of Representatives. This results in an average of more than 18 candidates per seat.

Women represent 36.47% of the total candidates, with 2,658 individuals registered. The electoral process includes 28 political parties and various alliances. Among those seeking re-election are 227 current members of Parliament, including 204 deputies and 20 deputies.

The Moroccan Organization for Human Rights has called for responsible civic participation, urging citizens to vote consciously to strengthen democracy and the rule of law. The organization also warned political actors against using hate speech, misinformation, or exploiting social vulnerability to gain electoral advantages. Authorities have emphasized strict legal regulations to ensure transparency and prevent the use of digital misinformation or artificial intelligence to influence voters.
