Morocco prepares voter rolls and ballots for 2026 elections

Morocco's Ministry of Interior has opened an exceptional period for revising the general electoral lists, running from 15 May to 13 June 2026. Citizens who meet the legal requirements can register to vote or transfer their registration to a new residence, with a special invitation to 18‑year‑olds who will be eligible before the parliamentary election on 23 September 2026. Applications may be submitted at designated local offices or through the online portal www.listeselectorales.ma, and existing voters are urged to verify and update their address details. The deadline for all requests is 13 June 2026.

Meanwhile, the General Directorate of Elections (DGE) has received more than 430 ballot‑paper specimens that were flown in from abroad and landed at Ahmed Sékou Touré International Airport on the night of 15–16 May. The ballots are intended for the double legislative and municipal elections scheduled for 31 May 2026, marking another key step in the country's election preparations.
