Morocco ramps up pepper exports to Norway amid EU customs push

Effective customs management is essential for trade between Morocco and the European Union. Specialists handle documentation, tariff classification, and logistical coordination to avoid delays and extra costs. The process supports a wide range of sectors, including automotive, textiles, food, machinery and electronics, and aims to keep supply chains predictable and compliant with regulations.

During the 2025/26 season, Moroccan pepper exports to Norway more than doubled, reaching 620 tonnes valued at over €2.5 million. Norway relies heavily on imports for its pepper market, and the surge reflects Morocco’s competitive pricing, stable product quality and improved logistics. The growth also marks a shift toward direct shipments to northern European markets, reducing dependence on larger distribution hubs.
