Morocco to see gradual temperature drop starting Wednesday
Temperatures in Morocco are expected to begin a gradual decline starting Wednesday, particularly across the northern half of the country. According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, while heat remains intense in the southeast and certain Saharan provinces—with maximums reaching between 40 and 45 °C—the cooling trend will become more visible mid-week.
In addition to the temperature shift, unstable weather conditions are anticipated. Thunderstorms, sometimes heavy and accompanied by a risk of hail, are expected over the High and Middle Atlas mountains. Scattered precipitation may also affect the Rif, the Oriental region, and the extreme south of the Saharan provinces. Wind speeds are expected to increase in the Atlas, Oriental, and southeastern regions, potentially causing local dust suspensions.
