Morocco unveils 2030 tourism growth strategy in Paris

The Morocco National Tourism Office (ONMT) has presented its 2026-2030 growth strategy during the IFTM Top Resa trade show in Paris. The initiative aims to leverage Morocco's increasing tourism activity, which saw a 6% rise in arrivals and a 16% increase in revenue during the first half of 2026.

A central pillar of the strategy is enhancing air connectivity and diversifying regional offerings. By promoting various territories—such as the desert landscapes of Ouarzazate, the water sports in Dakhla, and the cultural heritage of Essaouira—the ONMT seeks to manage visitor flows and ensure economic benefits are distributed across its 12 regions.

At the Paris exhibition, Morocco hosted a large pavilion featuring 38 institutional and private exhibitors, including airlines like Royal Air Maroc and Air Arabia Maroc. The focus remains on strengthening ties with France, which serves as the primary source market for Moroccan tourism.
