Morocco welcomes 14.1 million tourists through August 2026

Morocco welcomed 14.1 million tourists through the end of August 2026, marking a 4.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025. This growth represents approximately 608,000 additional visitors.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, the month of August alone surpassed the 2 million visitor threshold for the first time, showing a 3% increase over August 2025. Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor stated that the country's tourism dynamics are built on “solid and sustainable foundations,” noting that the 2023-2026 Roadmap is yielding tangible results in terms of both visitor numbers and socio-economic impact.
