Morocco's 500 Global ranking marks 25 years of economic transformation

The 25th edition of the ‘500 Global’ ranking, released by Economie Entreprise and Kompass, highlights a significant evolution in Morocco's corporate landscape. The cumulative turnover of the 500 largest companies has reached a historic milestone of 1,145 billion dirhams, representing an 11.7% increase from the previous year.

OCP S.A. maintains its position as the leading company with a turnover of 113.9 billion dirhams in 2025, marking a 17.5% annual growth. Renault Group Maroc follows in second place with 59.2 billion dirhams, while the Office National de l'Electricité et de l'Eau Potable (ONEE) ranks third with 41.5 billion dirhams.

Over the past quarter-century, the Moroccan economy has shifted through market liberalization and increased regulation. While new champions like HPS and LabelVie have seen massive revenue growth, other former major players such as Samir, Comarit, and Cotef have exited the landscape. The ranking's scope was expanded in 2023 to include banks and insurance companies alongside industrial and commercial sectors.
