Mos hosts exhibition celebrating Galician women's achievements

The Pazo de Mos is hosting the traveling exhibition ‘Mulleres FEMUPO, mulleres que fan Camiño’, an initiative designed to highlight the achievements of influential Galician women. Organized by the Federation of Women of Pontevedra (FEMUPO) in collaboration with the Mos City Council’s Equality and Culture departments and the Women's Information Center (CIM), the exhibition will be on display until October 4.

The project focuses on the stories of women recognized in the five editions of the FEMUPO Women's Awards held between 2022 and 2026. The exhibition will travel through ten municipalities in the province of Pontevedra that are connected to the Portuguese Way and the Portuguese Coastal Way. To enhance the experience, the exhibition includes digital content accessible via QR codes and a series of twenty participatory workshops tailored to different local communities.

During the inauguration, Mayor Nidia Arévalo emphasized the importance of providing younger generations with female role models to learn from their experiences and challenges. She also noted the symbolic connection between the exhibition and the municipality of Mos, which is traversed by the Camino Portugués, linking the physical journey of the pilgrimage to the paths forged by these women in society.
