Mos municipality launches Nuevo Puxeiros urban development project

The council of Mos unveiled the Nuevo Puxeiros project on Friday, presenting a 32,617‑square‑metre urban plan aimed at reshaping one of the town’s main growth areas. The development prioritises public space, allocating about two‑thirds of the area to communal uses under the slogan “Construimos futuro”.

Key components include 240 new homes – 80 of which are social‑housing units – roughly 10,500 sqm of parks and open space, a new 3,246 sqm municipal facility for cultural, leisure and community services, and over 110 public parking spaces. The plan is part of the municipality’s broader strategy to create a more accessible, sustainable and livable urban core.

The project reflects Mos’s commitment to balanced growth, emphasizing pedestrian mobility, green infrastructure and the integration of public amenities with residential development.
