Mos residents protest for N-550 road upgrades

The commission overseeing the N‑550 road held a coordination meeting to finalise plans for a protest on Friday, 10 July, in front of the Subdelegación del Gobierno in Pontevedra. The demonstration will take place between 11:00 and 12:00 and will bring three buses of residents from the Pazo de Mos.

Representatives of local neighbourhood associations – Santa Baia, Chan do Bosque, Ledicia de Sanguiñeda and A Cividade – and the three municipal political groups (PP, PSOE and BNG) participated in the preparatory meeting. The protest seeks an urgent state response to improve road safety, demanding the conversion of the Sanguiñeda and Mos sections into urban passages, remodelling of the Louredo intersection, repairs to the Amieirolongo stretch, better horizontal signage, conditioning of shoulders and sidewalks, and comprehensive cleaning of ditches and vegetated margins. Organisers say the action follows years of unmet requests to the Ministry of Transport and Mobility Sustainable and the sub‑government, and aims to protect residents, pedestrians and pilgrims who use the road daily.
