Mos, Spain Opens Redesigned Puxeiros and Rebullón Avenues

Mos, a municipality in Galicia, inaugurated the newly remodeled Puxeiros and O Rebullón avenues after a €1.282 million upgrade. The works, spanning more than 300 metres, included widening sidewalks, creating pedestrian zones, adding green space and street furniture, installing new lighting, burying utilities and building a rain‑water collection network, as well as reconfiguring the busy Rotonda dos Bois roundabout.

The project was financed jointly by three administrations: the Xunta de Galicia contributed 47% (€600 k), the Diputación de Pontevedra covered 51%, and the Mos City Council provided the remaining 2% from its own funds. The inauguration was attended by councilor María Martínez Allegue (Housing and Infrastructure), Diputación president Luis López, and Mos mayor Nidia Arévalo, who all highlighted the improvements in accessibility, road safety and environmental sustainability and stressed the work’s role in the future development of the Novo Puxeiros area.
