Mosquito control operations scheduled in Varaždin and Velika Gorica

Public health authorities and private contractors are conducting mosquito control operations in several Croatian regions.

In Varaždin, the Varaždin County Institute of Public Health is scheduled to perform adulticide disinsection on August 24 and 25, 2026. The measures will take place between 4:00 and 6:00 AM across various public surfaces and residential streets within the city.

In the Velika Gorica area, the company EKO-DERATIZACIJA will carry out extraordinary mosquito control from August 24 to 27. Using cold ULV fogging with approved insecticides, the treatments will occur in the early morning hours between 4:00 and 7:00 AM. The operation covers Velika Gorica, Gradić, Velika Mlaka, Ples, Klarići, and Ilovnjak, targeting numerous residential streets and public areas.
