Most holds funeral for two students killed in fatal car accident

Hundreds of people gathered in Most to attend the funeral of two high school graduates, Andrea and Lili, who died in a tragic vehicle collision between Mariánské Radčice and Lom on August 22. The two young women, who grew up together, were laid to rest in adjacent coffins.

Students from the Secondary School of Diplomacy in Most, who were passing by the scene at the time of the accident, provided immediate assistance to the victims. Due to their studies in security and legal activities, they were able to offer critical aid before emergency services arrived. The students have since been recognized by their school principal, Vladimíra Ilievová, and the Mayor of Most, Marek Hrvol.

The collision resulted in two fatalities, two people being airlifted to a trauma center in Ústí nad Labem in serious condition, and two others being transported to a hospital in Most. Police have detained a driver suspected of causing the accident, though the driver was later released pending the results of forensic expert reports. An investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy is ongoing.
