Fatal car accident in Most region

Overview

A fatal vehicle collision occurred on a Saturday evening near Lom in the Most region of the Czech Republic, resulting in the deaths of two female high school graduates. The accident involved a Škoda Fabia and another vehicle, leaving four others injured. Two victims were airlifted to a trauma center in Ústí nad Labem with serious injuries, while two others were treated for light to moderate injuries in Most.

Following the incident, police detained a driver suspected of causing the accident. While the driver was later released pending forensic expert reports, an investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy remains ongoing. Hundreds of people recently gathered in Most to attend the funeral for the two deceased students.
