Mostafa Mohamed transfers from FC Nantes to Konyaspor

Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed has completed a transfer from FC Nantes to the Turkish club Konyaspor, ending a contentious summer saga. The move follows a period of friction where Mohamed missed training sessions without justification, leading FC Nantes coach Michel Der Zakarian to state that the club had lost contact with the player and had ceased paying his salary.

After training with the reserve team to resolve his future, Mohamed signed a contract with Konyaspor running until 2029 for an estimated fee between 750,000 and 1 million euros.

His start in Turkey has been difficult; Konyaspor has lost its first four matches of the 2026-2027 season. Mohamed has yet to score a goal for his new club, appearing as a substitute in a recent match against Trabzonspor after playing in a defeat to Erzurumspor.
