Mostar completes social housing for 24 families in Rodoč

A new residential building in the Rodoč neighborhood of Mostar has been completed to provide non-profit social housing for 24 families previously living in alternative accommodation. The keys to the apartments are scheduled to be handed over on Monday, September 14.

The construction is part of the CEB II project, titled ‘Closing collective centers and alternative accommodation through public housing solutions’. The total cost of the Rodoč sub-project was approximately 2.47 million KM (excluding VAT), with 2.08 million KM provided by credit from the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) and 389,000 KM contributed by the City of Mostar.

The broader CEB II project aims to close 104 identified collective or alternative accommodation locations across Bosnia and Herzegovina. This involves the construction of 2,030 housing units through 68 sub-projects in 46 municipalities. The initiative intends to close all collective centers in Republika Srpska and more than 76 percent of such centers in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Implementation is managed by the Federal Ministry for Displaced Persons and Refugees in cooperation with local authorities, with technical assistance supported by the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) and donations from Norway, Spain, Italy, and Slovakia.
