Mostar Summer Festival Highlights Multiple Theatre Productions
The International Cultural Manifestation “Mostar Summer 2026” featured a series of theatre performances in Mostar, Bosnia‑Herzegovina. On July 2, the puppet show “Moj Hakawati – ogledalo, ogledalo”, directed by Mateja Bizjak Petit and starring Tarik Bajramović of the Mostar Puppet Theatre, toured local kindergartens before a final staging at the city’s main stage. The same evening a new puppet production “Grad svjetlosti”, written and directed by David Zuazola, was presented at the Puppet Theatre for audiences aged 12 and up.
The following night, July 3, the National Theatre of Zenica staged Denis Kelly’s drama “Siročad” under the direction of Ivan Plazibat at the Mostar National Theatre. The cast included Zlatan Školjić, Snežana Vidović and Enes Salković. Both performances were part of a broader programme that also announced forthcoming events such as the “Days of Turkey” cultural program and a concert by Azra and Tea Sandžaktar‑Bijedić.
These activities illustrate the festival’s focus on diverse theatrical forms—from puppet shows to adult drama—engaging both children and adult audiences across the city.
