Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx defends Vince Neil's vocal recovery

Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx has defended frontman Vince Neil following criticism of his live vocal performances. Sixx revealed that Neil recently recovered from his fourth stroke, an event that occurred in late 2024 and previously required the singer to use a wheelchair.

After undergoing extensive physical therapy, Neil reportedly achieved a 90-95 percent recovery. Sixx noted that while the band was cautious about selecting songs that might be too strenuous, Neil was determined to perform demanding tracks like ‘Red Hot’ to prove his vocal capabilities to fans and critics alike.

The band is preparing for a residency in Las Vegas, titled ‘Carnival of Sins’, which is scheduled to take place at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace from March 19 to April 3.
