Moto2 riders face grid penalties at Misano Grand Prix

FIM MotoGP Stewards issued several grid penalties following the Moto2 qualifying sessions for the San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Taiyo Furusato of the Idemitsu Honda Team Asia received the most severe penalty, being forced to start from the back of the grid. This follows his third violation this season regarding slow riding during Q1 and Q2, specifically involving sector times exceeding 135 percent of a rider's personal best or obstructing other competitors.

Other Moto2 penalties include: • Tony Arbolino and Adrián Huertas: Nine-position grid penalties for their second season violations. • Izan Guevara: A six-position penalty for riding slowly on the racing line and obstructing Senna Agius. • Alberto Ferrández: A three-position penalty for obstructing David Alonso.

In the Moto3 class, eight riders also received sanctions, including Marcos Uriarte, Ryusei Yamanaka, and Zen Mitani.
