MotoGP crew chief changes announced for 2027 season
As the MotoGP grid for the 2027 season takes shape, racing teams are finalizing technical staff and crew chief assignments. While many factory teams are retaining their existing technical leadership, several high-profile transfers and promotions are set to occur.
In a major move, Fabio Quartararo will transition from Yamaha to the Honda factory team, where he will work with crew chief Cristhian Pupulin. Honda's technical lineup for its second seat remains unconfirmed, though candidates Diogo Moreira and David Alonso are expected to have their technical leads assigned; Moreira is slated to work with Andrés Madrid from KTM, while Alonso will be paired with Santi Hernández.
Ducati's technical structure will see Marc Márquez remain with Marco Rigamonti, while newcomer Pedro Acosta will join the technical group currently led by Cristian Gabarrini for Francesco Bagnaia. Other notable shifts include Fermín Aldeguer working with Massimo Branchini at VR46, Nicolò Bulega pairing with Matteo Flamigni, and Joan Mir reuniting with Frankie Carchedi at Gresini Racing.
