The 2027 grid has been finalized with 22 participants, though the lineup sees a decline in Catalan representation; only Marc and Àlex Márquez will represent the region following the retirement of Àlex Rins and Maverick Viñales being left without a seat. Despite roster changes, Marc Márquez stated he intends to remain competitive for several more years. Enea Bastianini, moving to Trackhouse Aprilia, continues to advocate for expanded testing, arguing that current schedules are insufficient to master the new machinery.
