Motoki Ohmori cast in TBS drama ‘Iroha no Koi wa Jidai o Kakeru’

Motoki Ohmori, the vocalist and guitarist of the band Mrs. GREEN APPLE, has been cast in the TBS drama ‘Iroha no Koi wa Jidai o Kakeru’. Scheduled to begin broadcasting in October 2026, this marks Ohmori’s first appearance in a TBS drama.

The romantic comedy follows a 300-year time-slip plot involving the soul of an Edo-period girl inhabiting the body of a modern-day elementary school teacher. Mone Kamishiraishi stars in a dual role as both the teacher, Iroha Nashiki, and the Edo-period girl, Iroha. The cast also includes Koji Mukai and Juro Yamanaka.

Ohmori will play a significant role that drives the story forward, though specific details regarding his character remain undisclosed and will only be revealed during the first episode. Ohmori commented on the opportunity, noting that while he cannot yet reveal his role, he has been entrusted with a ‘very important, major role’ in what is a series of firsts for him.
