Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026 unveils electric supercars, historic GT40 recreation and star‑studded displays

The Goodwood Festival of Speed took place from 9‑12 July 2026 on the historic Goodwood estate in West Sussex, UK. The four‑day event combined a hill‑climb competition with product launches, historic car exhibitions and celebrity appearances.

Manufacturers used the stage to debut new models: Mercedes‑Benz unveiled the electric‑driven AMG CLA 45 4MATIC+, Zenvo presented the 1 850 hp V12‑hybrid Aurora, and MG showed two concept cars – the electric city‑car GO! and the performance SUV Cyber. Cupra announced a renewed Formula E partnership and displayed the Leon VZ e‑Hybrid Racer, while BYD displayed its 1 600‑hp Denza Z sport sedan.

The festival also featured memorable moments such as a viral photo of Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli surrounded by Ferrari mechanics, Valentino Rossi’s return on a 2020 Yamaha YZR‑M1, Argentine driver Franco Colapinto’s run in an Alpine Lotus, and a recreation of the iconic 1966 Ford GT40 Le Mans finish using the three original GT40s.

Overall, more than 600 vehicles – from classic racing cars to the latest electric prototypes – were showcased, reinforcing Goodwood’s role as a premier global gathering for motorsport enthusiasts and the automotive industry.
