Motorcycle industry updates: KTM pricing, MotoGP 2027 testing, and Triumph Tiger redesign

The motorcycle industry is seeing significant technical developments across several major manufacturers. KTM has announced the pricing for the 2027 690 Rally, set at €13,980. The model, based on the 690 Enduro R, features a 79 CV LC4 single-cylinder engine and is designed for long-distance off-road use.

In the MotoGP sector, upcoming 2027 regulations will reduce engine displacement from 1,000cc to 850cc and limit aerodynamic features. Recent Pirelli testing at the Red Bull Ring provided a glimpse of the new Ducati Desmosedici, which shows a more compact front end with minimized winglets. Other manufacturers, including Aprilia, Yamaha, Honda, and KTM, are also testing 850cc prototypes.

Triumph is also preparing a new generation of the Tiger 900. Spy shots indicate a shift toward a more aggressive off-road aesthetic, featuring a redesigned three-cylinder engine, updated chassis, and a new headlight assembly. The updates appear to focus on a Rally-oriented identity with improved geometry and suspension.
