Motorcyclist Killed in Shooting in Salamanca, Guanajuato

On the afternoon of 11 July, a man riding a motorcycle was shot dead in the Infonavit Renovación I neighbourhood of Salamanca, Guanajuato. Residents heard multiple gunshots and called 911, prompting a rapid response from municipal police and the National Guard. First‑responders found the victim lying beside a black motorcycle with several gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead despite aid from Red Cross paramedics.

The area was cordoned off and investigators from the State Attorney General’s Office and criminal investigation units began processing the scene. The victim’s identity and the motive remain unknown, and no arrests have been reported.
