Motorola launches Moto Buds app for iOS devices

Motorola has released the Moto Buds app for iOS, allowing users to customize compatible earbuds via iPhone and iPad. The free application, available on the App Store, provides advanced controls that were previously unavailable through standard Bluetooth connections.

Key features accessible through the app include active noise cancellation (ANC) adjustments, transparency mode, and an equalizer to modify sound profiles such as bass and treble. Users can also configure touch commands for playback control, manage dual-device connections, and adjust in-ear detection settings.

Initial support focuses on the Moto Buds 2 and Moto Buds 2 Plus models, as well as the Moto Buds 2 Fusion. To ensure compatibility, the Moto Buds 2 and Moto Buds 2 Plus require specific firmware updates. Motorola recommends connecting the earbuds to an Android device to perform these updates before pairing them with an iOS device. The app requires iOS 18.0 or iPadOS 18.0 or later.
