Guinea road accidents kill four and injure dozens

On Sunday 26 July 2026 two serious road collisions occurred in Guinea. At kilometre 36 on the outskirts of Conakry, a container‑laden truck struck a moto‑taxi, killing the rider and a passenger who was a medication vendor. Witnesses said the truck hit the bike from behind and dragged it for several metres.

Later the same day, in the Labé urban commune, a dump truck descending a hill lost control and hit two motorcycles. The crash killed two women, one identified as 43‑year‑old teacher Mariam Bobo Diallo, and left several others with serious injuries. Both accidents left multiple victims who were taken to regional hospitals for treatment. The driver of the dump truck fled the scene, prompting police interest.
