Kamešnica Mountain Rescue: Two Croatian Citizens Rescued

Mountain Rescue Service (GSS) members successfully located and rescued two young Croatian citizens on Kamešnica mountain. The two men, approximately 20 years old, lost their orientation while hiking from the top of Konj toward the Croatian border.

The hikers became stuck on extremely inaccessible terrain below Goli vrh. The rescue operation was complicated by darkness, strong winds, and poor weather conditions. According to Tomislav Tadić of the GSS, the men were in good physical condition and sustained no injuries.

The rescue was facilitated by the fact that 13 GSS members were already conducting a regular rock rescue exercise at a climbing area above Duman when the police call was received. Rescuers were immediately dispatched to the site and successfully brought the hikers to safety.
