Movimento 5 Stelle calls for urban greenery compliance in Saronno

In Saronno, the Movimento 5 Stelle (M5S) is calling for stricter adherence to national laws regarding urban greenery. Following an announcement of a 140,000 euro allocation for restoring the city's tree heritage—bringing total investment to 257,000 euros—the political group is emphasizing the legal requirement to plant one tree for every newborn or adopted minor.

Local representatives are requesting transparency regarding the implementation of Law no. 113 of 1992. They have asked the administration to provide data from the last five years concerning the quantity, species, and locations of planted trees. The group also noted that while the municipality covers planting and maintenance, the Lombardy Region is responsible for providing free plants through ERSAF nurseries.
