MozYouth Foundation places over 2,500 youth in paid internships

The MozYouth Foundation has placed more than 2,500 young people in paid professional internships across Mozambique. According to Letícia Sambo, the foundation's recruitment coordinator, approximately 50 percent of these interns successfully secured permanent employment at their host companies.

The program targets individuals aged 18 to 35 with educational backgrounds ranging from secondary and technical-professional levels to higher education. Internships last between three months and one year, during which the foundation provides a stipend and accident insurance.

Currently partnering with over 250 companies, the foundation aims to expand its network to increase talent absorption. Additionally, a new project funded by the World Bank and Conecta Negócios is being implemented in the northern region of the country to enhance youth capacity and labor market access.
