MRC leadership race: Three candidates to succeed Maurice Kamto
Following the resignation of Maurice Kamto, the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC) has finalized the list of candidates for its upcoming leadership election. Three candidates have submitted files to vie for the presidency, with the vote scheduled to take place on October 17 in Yaoundé.
The candidates and their respective lists include:
• Ronnie Bris Djolako: His candidacy includes Tamesse Janvier in the second position and Ayissi François as Secretary General, though the fifth vice-presidency position remains vacant.
• Tiriane Balbine Nadège Noah: Currently serving as interim president, she is the sole female candidate. Her proposed ticket features a gender-balanced structure with Saadou Aissatou as fifth vice-president and Ndong Christopher Mveh as the expected Secretary General.
• Pierre Emmanuel Binyam: His submission is noted as the most structurally complete, featuring eight names with no vacancies, including Boutche Jean Pierre Doualare as first vice-president and Kamche Wappi Célin as Secretary General.
The election will determine the party's new leadership team, consisting of a president, five vice-presidents, a secretary general, and a treasurer.
