Mérida: Alerta Amber issued for missing 17-year-old

Authorities have activated a national Alerta Amber for 17-year-old Raúl Santiago Carpy Hernández, who disappeared in Mérida, Yucatán. He was last seen on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in the Sodzil Norte neighborhood.

According to reports, the teenager left his home to deliver an Xbox console, after which his family lost contact with him. Authorities expressed concern for his safety, noting the risk that he may have been a victim of a crime.

Raúl Santiago is approximately 1.70 meters tall, weighs about 55 kilograms, and has wavy dark brown hair and light brown eyes. He has a distinctive wart on the right side of his nose and a slouched gait. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a pearl-colored crewneck t-shirt with black edges and a black logo, white or light blue jeans, white Under Armour sneakers, and a black sweater draped over his shoulders. He was also carrying two school-style backpacks, one blue and one black.
