MTN Ghana hosts digital economy and AI training sessions
MTN Ghana has hosted educational initiatives focused on navigating the digital economy through artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools.
In one session, the company provided intensive training for journalists and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to address the risks and opportunities of AI. Experts emphasized data security, advising a ‘zero-trust rule’ for free AI tools to prevent the exposure of confidential information. The training also covered the technical nature of AI as a pattern-based prediction engine, warning participants about ‘hallucinations’—the generation of false or fabricated information—and stressing the necessity of human oversight and independent fact-checking.
Additionally, the third MTN Masterclass Series brought together over 120 entrepreneurs and business customers in Accra. The program focused on how strategic partnerships and emerging technologies can drive business growth and competitiveness. Panelists discussed the evolving nature of work and how digital tools can improve efficiency and market access within Ghana’s digital transformation landscape.
