MTN South Africa graduates 80 youths from Western Cape digital programme

MTN South Africa celebrated the graduation of 80 unemployed young people from the Western Cape who completed its Digital Skills for Digital Jobs (DS4DJ) programme. The six‑month course provided accredited qualifications in data analytics, systems development and cybersecurity. Participants were selected from a competitive pool of 623 applicants, with women representing 63% of the cohort.

The programme was delivered by the MTN SA Foundation and MTN Skills Academy in partnership with the EBL Institute of Business and Technology, the G‑CITI Campus (I‑CAN Centre) and supported by the Western Cape government and the City of Cape Town. Since its launch, more than 1,600 South Africans have completed DS4DJ, helping to address the country's growing digital‑skills gap and supporting the development of a digitally inclusive economy.
