Stellantis, Wayve, and NVIDIA partner for autonomous driving in France

Stellantis, Wayve, and NVIDIA have announced a major collaboration with the French government to accelerate the development and deployment of Level 4 autonomous vehicles. The partnership aims to build a comprehensive industrial ecosystem in France, covering the entire value chain from semiconductors to vehicle integration.

The technological core involves combining Wayve’s end-to-end AI driver with NVIDIA’s Hyperion computing architecture and Halos OS, integrated into Stellantis’ L4-Ready platforms. Prototypes, including a Fiat 500e and Maserati Grecale, have already demonstrated supervised autonomous driving capabilities in real-world tests.

In a separate initiative, the Métropole du Grand Paris, Bolt, and Stellantis have launched the ‘Greater Paris Autonomous Driving Living Lab’ under the European Commission’s ADACities program. This project will begin testing in five municipalities in northwest Paris in 2028, with plans to expand to approximately 30 municipalities by 2030 to serve urban mobility needs such as first-and-last-mile transport and large-scale events.
