Brazil regional health and infrastructure developments

Various regional public health and infrastructure developments are underway across Brazil. In Pernambuco, the state government is investing R$ 153 million to construct a new Women’s Hospital in Serra Talhada, featuring 150 beds, including 30 ICU beds for maternal and neonatal care. Additionally, the state is investing R$ 10.3 million in new daycare centers in Triunfo and Quixaba to support early childhood education.

In Mato Grosso, the city of Cuiabá has partnered with HBento to expand the availability of specialized medical exams and surgeries through the SUS, aiming to reduce waiting lists. Meanwhile, Várzea Grande is working with the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) to provide epidemiological training for health professionals and is collaborating with state authorities to map disaster risk areas.

Other regional updates include the construction of a new Child Psychosocial Care Center (CAPSi) in Rondonópolis, a planned expansion of a health unit in Pindamonhangaba, and water reservoir maintenance in São José do Rio Preto to ensure potability standards.
