Muhoozi Kainerugaba gains endorsements from businessman and diaspora mobilizer

Support for General Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s 2031 presidential bid in Uganda continues to grow through endorsements from prominent business figures and members of the diaspora.

Businessman Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia has publicly endorsed Kainerugaba. Ruparelia, who returned to Uganda in 1985 after being expelled during the Idi Amin era, has historically emphasized the necessity of political stability and security for economic development and investor confidence.

In the diaspora, Ann Kirabo, a Ugandan nurse and mobilizer for the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) in California, has also declared her support. Following a meeting with PLU General Secretary Fadhil Twalla in Kampala, Kirabo cited Kainerugaba’s public service record and his stance against corruption as primary reasons for her endorsement, calling for broader mobilization among Ugandans living abroad.
